    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHA HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY GIRL I AM OMG HAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA HOHOHOHOHO MOMGOMGOMGOMG HAHAHAHA fan girl moment there, pardon me haha there's really so much for me to say and i don't know where to begin! basically the performance was amazing because i've been a fan of his for a while now and its an indescribable feeling when you get to see your favourite long time singer do his thing, LIVE and UPCLOSE. i nearly died in my seat! and if the lights were on, you'd see me with the perpetual "bella-face" hahaha! great chemistry amongst his mates, silly banter between them haha, love the experimentation and use of the pedals/balloon on the guitar(yes, you read that right!) etc etc, and to my surprise, he played To Build a Home...in the dark! it was such an incredible moment as i listened to his calm, soulful voice accompanied by his piano playing. simply phenomenal! (if you're wondering, he didn't play with the orchestra. just him, his piano and his guitarist) all in all, the performance was beautiful! Tuesday, January 19, 2010

WOW WHAT A WEBSITE! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?! Here’s what I do know: Do what you’re good at. Nobody wants to hire a mediocre anything. Have a point of view and a voice about your work. That will make it yours. Be passionate and opinionated about what you do know and open about things you do. Don’t be scared to change your mind. The information at hand changes all the time. Do lots of work. Put it out there. See what people respond to. How much would people kick and scream if you took something you made away from them? I'm turning 20 this year and so far, I have yet to achieve anything great. the greatest that I probably got was first prize for an easter egg drawing competition when i was in primary school at some condominium party. I have no repertoire whatsoever and will you just take a look at how kids my age (or younger) are taking over the fashion, design industry and whathaveyou. top blogshop-boutique owners, models, singers, leaders, photographers, designers....its intimidating! looking at such pool of talent, it makes you want to shrivel up and disappear into thin air. inadequacy, my friend, is poison to the soul and lack of faith is death. does that even make the slightest amount of sense to you? to me, it doesn't. I have no idea why I said that ---------------------------------- sometimes you try so hard, you just give up trying entirely. and I don't want to come to that stage where I throw all my hopes and aspirations away. even if I'm not a graphic designer, I believe I will still be in the creative industry - one way or another. I hope. please don't make a big deal out of this because it is just one of those moments. and to prove that i'm alright(okay i'm lying), here is my attempt at trying to be funny...corny.  oh you like me to spread it like that, don't you? okay that was awkward. so let me end with this instead  Tuesday, January 12, 2010
met sftey at starbucks to calm our nerves before heading to sch/ went up to class, which probably only lasted for half an hour MAX; basically we didn't do anything except to sit around and wait for things to happen, until our lect decided to let us off/ slacked at the canteen and had a mini "class reunion" hahah fun times! i miss my classmates ):/ killed time at the foyer with yj while waiting for jo to reach LOL/ met jo and headed to YYY concert*/ bumped into joan&her bf, ah poon, jinny and omg terence the lect hahaha he let his hair down, literally. epic win haha/ fb hates me, i cannot log in ):  *YYY CONCERT WAS HELLA FUN! no photos though, because my camera died on me. I KNOW RIGHT ZZZZ anyhoo i'm not really good at describing so here are the highlights:- Y-shaped confetti(managed to steal one LOL) - inflatable eyeballs - colourful, wacky outfit(s) worn by karen-o. if i'm not wrong, she has won this before at another concert somewhere LOL - nick did his usual photo-taking of the crowd on stage. nice! - crowd went crazy when they performed zero/cheated hearts/maps(i love!) - mesmerizing vocals on karen's part - mind blowing guitar riffs and insane synthesizer loops by nick heehh - looking at brian do his thing on the drums set me into a trance! mad awesome! - crazy dancing people LOL Monday, January 11, 2010

 L4D2 round one: miura jun/crazy/adeladel/manda spent the entire two hours stuck at the same stage. it was rather entertaining because all of us were shouting different things("follow me!", "no follow jun follow jun!", "eh i want gun leh how come no gun??", "where are you guys?", "crazy, follow me!") at the same time and poor crazy was so confused (by us) cos it was her first time playing LOL but nonetheless it was still good and epic a game! lesson; boring. was watching whose line is it anyway and a few other videos with umi to kill time/ free dinner; helped to finish jun and amanda's food. haha sucha freeloader i am :D/ sent david to sch lol/ L4D2 round two: miura jun/adeladel/kwonyuri-j/shane-o-mac the boys decided to abandon us girls behind as they move forward on their killing spree. so we had to fend for ourselves, though half the time we(the guys included) were shooting and killing each other. so much for teamwork there haha but anyhoo we all had fun! i think we girls did a pretty awesome job, didn't we? :D and yes, i'm fully utilizing my holidays before all the insanity and sleepless nights begin heh EXACTLY HAHAHA Saturday, January 02, 2010

1) L4D2 learnt the ropes from dave and jr. think i was busy screaming "where are you guys?!?!", panicking and running around in circles hahah i know right. on the other hand, gab, amanda, shane and junhui played a pretty silent game. but i think things become much more entertaining when we - the girls- played the zombies. pretty epic imo LOL congrats to yf for winning the Barnabas award and for dave for winning the hospitality award! :D and derick we still love you for always being early to queue, even though u didn't win the early bird award (cos jennifer really won hands down haha)/ sound was relatively good :D yay! 3) Pre-countdown jr, junhui, shane and i went down to whampoa and bedok85 to get loads of food for the rest. no countdown for us, since we were busy running from store to store getting food. but the group of ahbengs sitting around the hawker exclaimed really loudly while we were rushing back to van with all the food. so technically we spent the new year in jr's pops van haha nice 4) NY@David's buffet style supper we all the food we bought yum yum! left an hour later to meet the girls 5) NY@SF's greeted with pitch darkness. the only light source came from the tv which was playing Saw. ughh! LOL decided to watch something else but nothing seems interesting enough. so est and yz went to rest, with shan already concussed in sf's room haha so sf and i ended up watching snsd on youtube. but she too took a power nap so i was the only one left wide awake sf and i decided to give the girls a (frightening) wake up call. half the time we were breaking out into fits of laughter becos we cannot bring ourselves to scare them. so after what seems like eternity, we finally got down on our knees to the bedside and waited for them to turn to the side. managed to shock est and shan while yz was way too "jetlagged" to even react LOL went to ecp to catch the sunrise but the clouds took front row seats, so we only managed to see the clutter around us. which was pretty insane if you ask me. i think everybody there should be fined $500 for littering. is that the rate? LOL bought food from mac/hawker center and headed back to sf's place to eat. i lost all sense and control by this time, and was uttering nonsense because i was sooo tired. nafa did not train me for this. LOL |
